Toxoplasmosis is a parasitic protozoan disease caused by toxoplasma gondii parasitism in the human body. Toxoplasmosis can be divided into two categories: congenital and acquired. Congenital toxoplasmosis is caused by transmission of the pathogen to the fetus through the mother's placenta, which may cause miscarriage, premature birth, and stillbirth in the mother.
