由于發(fā)生水腫和纖維化，腸壁變厚、變硬，部分強直，粘膜萎縮并有多處潰瘍，直徑為2-50mm不等。光鏡下可見纖維化和粘膜下水腫，肌層萎縮，整個增厚的腸壁內(nèi)都可發(fā)現(xiàn)蟲體。三其他病變：本蟲幼蟲在肺內(nèi)移行時，可引起肺臟毛細血管充血、出血、毛細支氣管上皮細胞脫落，炎性滲出物中可查到幼蟲。如果幼蟲的肺腸停留時間過久而發(fā)育為成蟲，則多數(shù)形成粟樣大小的肺膿瘍。絲狀蚴在體內(nèi)移行時，亦可侵入其他，如心內(nèi)膜，肝臟、卵巢、腸系膜淋巴結及腦等處，并有肉芽腫形成。大頭金蠅別名紅頭蠅、綠蟲蠅，成蟲體長8～11毫米，綠藍色、有明顯光澤，頭部寬，頂部黑色，復眼大，深紅色，額中條褐紅色，顏和頰部橙黃色；觸角和小顎須呈褐色；胸腹部綠色偏藍，有紫色光澤，幼早成熟時，身體蛆形，為黃白色，前端尖細，末端截平。體分14節(jié)，頭部1節(jié)，3節(jié)，腹部10節(jié)，體表有小棘形成的環(huán)；蛹呈桶狀，為圍蛹，即蛹殼為第3齡幼蟲皮收縮而成。蛹的顏色由白逐漸變深，zui后為栗褐色。家蠅（Musca demestica）是家蠅屬（Musca），是*昆蟲，其生活史包括卵、幼蟲（蠅蛆）、蛹、成蟲（蒼蠅）四個階段，共需12～15天。成年雌蠅剛排出的卵很小，1克卵有13000個左右，當溫度在25℃、相對濕度70%時，孵化期為12小時。剛孵出的幼蟲為灰白色、怕光，在飼料表層下2～10厘米處活動、采食，生長速度極快，4～5天有1厘米長、重約30毫克，開始化蛹。
