嗎啡（Morphine，MOP）是片類一種，在片中的含量為4%-21%，平均10%左右。化學(xué)名稱17-甲基-4，5α-環(huán)氧-7，8-二脫氫嗎啡喃-3，6α-二醇?；瘜W(xué)式為C17H19NO3，分子量為285.34，以口服形式為主。
對嗎啡的檢測常用的方法有化學(xué)顯色法、薄層層析檢測法（TLC）、高效液相色譜檢測法（HPLC）和氣質(zhì)聯(lián)

用色譜檢測法（GC/MS）法等。前兩者需要大量檢測樣品，靈敏度及精密度均不高；后兩者雖有較高的靈敏度及精密度，但檢測要求高，也難以推廣。免疫檢測法可能是未來的發(fā)展方向之一。[4-5] 
化學(xué)顯色法
（1）取本品約1mg，加甲醛硫酸試液1滴，即顯紫堇色。
（2）取本品約1mg，加鉬硫酸試液0.5ml，即顯紫色，繼變?yōu)樗{(lán)色，zui后變?yōu)樽鼐G色。
（3)）取本品約1mg，加水1ml溶解后，加稀鐵試液1滴，即顯藍(lán)綠色（與可待因的區(qū)別）。
含量
取本品約0.2g，精密稱定，加冰醋酸10ml與試液4ml溶解后，加結(jié)晶紫指示液1滴，用高氯酸滴定液（0.1mol/L ）滴定至溶液顯綠色，并將滴定的結(jié)果用空白試驗(yàn)校正。每1ml高氯酸滴定液（0.1mol/L )相當(dāng)于32.18mg的C17H19NO3?HCl。
